Located in the heart of the Great North Woods, The BALSAMS WILDERNESS Ski Area offers an exceptional family atmosphere with challenges for all levels of skiers. As part of The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel'sl 8,000 private acres, this on-site alpine ski area features 16 meticulously-groomed trails, five glades, zero lift-lines, 80% snowmaking system, a progressive Terrain Park and a learn-to-ski-and-play area. In addition, an exclusive 14 mile trail is available for snowshoeing. Also regarded as "one of the top cross country ski resorts in North America" by Snow Country magazine, The BALSAMS provides 85 kilometers of tracked and groomed cross-country trails.
