SNOWY WINTER SETS THE STAGE FOR FUN FEBRUARY VACATION WEEKS ON NEW HAMPSHIRE'S SLOPES & TRAILS
NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH, FEBRUARY 2009 - The 2008-09 ski season in New Hampshire has been nearly perfect thus far. Thanks to extended cold for snowmaking and regular snowstorms, conditions are excellent for the approaching school vacation weeks. Many NH ski areas are currently open on 100% of their terrain, including many cross country ski areas.
"After the record snowfall we had last winter, we could only hope for the best this year; you hate to be too greedy. Luckily we're on a really good stretch of snow and weather here in New Hampshire," stated Karl Stone, Ski NH's Marketing Director.
With so many people likely to hit the snow for the vacation week, special events are planned all week to keep families entertained. These events include terrain park competitions, ski races, fireworks displays, cardboard box races, après ski parties and more. For a complete list of events, visit SkiNH.com.
Since everyone is watching their budget these days, visitors to SkiNH.com will also find a webpage with daily lift ticket specials valid during the vacation weeks. Those looking to spend a few nights with their families and/or friends will also find a page dedicated to ski and stay specials offered during this period. SkiNH.com is also home to the latest on NH's snow conditions, lodging info, ski area facts, maps and everything guests need to know to plan your trip.
