Highlights:                  Visitors to Franconia Notch State Park can ride the Aerial Tramway or enjoy the sun at Echo Lake Beach.  The Tramway takes visitors up 2,000 vertical feet to the summit of Cannon Mountain to enjoy panoramic views of four states and Canada.  Located at the summit are a cafeteria, walking paths and an observation tower.  At the base are a cafeteria and gift shop.  Located adjacent to the Tramway base is the New England Ski Museum and Franconia Notch Recreation Path.  Guests can also enjoy the Flume Gorge, The Basin, and the Old Man of the Mountain Historic Site, all located in Franconia Notch State Park.  Other activities include picnicking and canoe and kayak rentals.

Highlights:                  The scenic Gondola Skyride at Loon takes guests to the summit where there is a mountaintop playground, observation tower, glacial caves, nature walk, and Summit Café.  Kids can get a treasure map to navigate the glacial caves and find the pot of gold hidden there.  At the base of Loon there is a shuttle to the Franconia Notch Bike Trail, as well as indoor and outdoor climbing walls.  Throughout the summer there are festivals the whole family can enjoy.

Kids' programs:        There are full and half-day programs for children and teens, ages 4-16, throughout the summer, as well as specialized skateboard camps.  Waterville Valley is also home of the Curious George Cottage, former residence of Margret and H.A. Rey.  The cottage serves as headquarters for story hours, nature walks and astronomy nights.  The Curious George Cottage Family Festival will be held Saturday August 9,2008 featuring a Curious George Character lunch, fun family activities, nature walks and hikes, children's games, curious George movie viewing, and astronomy and star gazing.

Highlights:                  Fly Wildcat on the ZipRider, New Hampshire's newest thrill ride offering exhilaration and beautiful views.  Now with four cables, the ZipRider has double the capacity.  Ride the 4-passenger Gondola Skyride, the Wildcat Express, to the 4,062' summit.  In just twelve minutes, view Tuckerman Ravine and gaze out at the stunning Presidential Range, crowned by world-renowned Mt. Washington.  The Atlantic Ocean sparkles to the east; the Canadian Woods loom to the north.  Cast a line in the stocked trout pond, or take a picnic lunch for the mile walk to Thompson Brook Falls or along part of the famous Appalachian Trail.  New this summer is the ZipRider, a half-mile zip-line cable that reaches over 45 miles per hour.  Special programs and events are offered.  Join a Tin Mountain Conservation Center naturalist and explore the natural surroundings of the White Mountain National Forest every Wednesday throughout July and August.
