Highlights: Located just five miles from downtown Keene on Rte. 9 East, Pinnacle Mountain at Granite Gorge is simple to get to. The "Pinnacle Express" double chairlift provides top to bottom skiing on expanded terrain. The mountain offers great location, protection from the wind, and a north face that holds snow. Granite Gorge offers state-of-the-art snowmaking and grooming services. The base lodge offers concessions and there is always a cup of hot chocolate available. Highlights: Since the 1930's, King Pinehas been known for its family-friendly atmosphere, affordability, impeccable grooming and consistent snow conditions. Since 1962, the ski area has been owned and operated by the Hoyt family, who also own the affiliated Purity Spring Resort. Skiers and snowboarders will find a halfpipe, hits and rails. Experts can carve turns on Pitch Pine and double-black diamond, Pine Brule. An alpine ticket also includes complimentary XC skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating. Highlights: Ragged Mountain Resort is on its way to becoming New Hampshire's premier ski resort with more than 3 million dollars invested last year. The terrain park has been recently expanded to include natural features and beginners will find a wonder carpet lift. The area is home to New Hampshire's only high-speed 6-passenger chairlift, taking skiers and riders to the summit in less than five minutes.
