Cold Weather is On Our Doorstep!

We've all been very patient, but it looks like we have some nice, cold temperatures in the forecast over the next week. Summer Fun in NH!

The blog has been quiet for a bit as all the ski areas have been regrouping after another snowy winter, lets hope that pattern continues!

In the meantime we're enjoying warmer temperatures and concentrating on summer operations. Among the new stuff around NH this summer is canopy tours at Bretton Woods, summer tubing at Cranmore, and disc golf at Wildcat. That's just a sampling obviously, we also still have all our traditional summer activities such as golf, skyrides, hiking, biking, special events, tennis, water sports, and much more!

Be sure to browse the new summer version of SkiNH.com if you're considering coming our way. If you're thinking of staying close to home, there's no better place than here in NH. At least that's what we think hehhh!

Enjoy the warm weather, we'll see ya' soon!

Thanks For a Great Winter!

I'm sad to say today is the final day of another ski season in NH. For the second year in a row we had consistent snow through much of the winter. Unfortunately March didn't bring us the big storms we've gotten used to, but the snow certainly held up for some great late season skiing and riding.

Hopefully you and your friends/family got in plenty of days throughout the winter. On behalf of NH's ski areas, Ski NH would like to thank you for spending your free time on our hills and trails. We realize you have numerous choices in New England and around the world to play in the snow, we truly appreciate you choosing to do so here with us.

Thanks again for another fun winter, be sure to visit us during the summer months! We'll see you soon.

The Clock is Ticking

Sadly the 2008-09 ski season is on life support. Normally that brings thoughts of a lack of snow, but as of now the base of snow is still pretty good for this time of year. It's the weather that has put a damper on the past few weeks. Persistent rainy, cool and cloudy weather have kept most skiers/riders off the slopes. All of the remaining open ski areas in New Hampshire (except Wildcat) plan to close after this weekend (April 12). You can look for Wildcat to push on for at least another week and who knows if the weather cooperates they said they'll be open into May!

Keep an eye on the forecast, hopefully there's one or two more days where the sun is shining and you can get in some final turns for another great winter! Just remember how much you'll miss it in a few months, it's worth one more shot if you can, or if Mother Nature allows!

Sun and Spring Events Approach

We have a few days of warmer temps to let us thaw out for a bit and enjoy all this snow that's piled up. Although the long term forecast show us returning to winter, this allows us to daydream of spring days on the slopes.

As spring hits New Hampshire, so do lift tickets deals. While we always have a fair amount of midweek deals in the Granite State, many more pop up now that all the big vacation periods are finished. Combine this with less people on the slopes and hopefully snowfall similar to recent March's, and you have some good stuff.

Also look for some wacky events to start taking place...there's pond skimming, live music slopeside, cardboard box races and many others. Along with a warm, sunny day and the whole family is happy.

Keep an eye on our "lift ticket deals" page and the events calendar at SkiNH.com. We list everything we hear about right there!
