Waterville Valley Resort

Finale in the Valley

17 area high schools race to the finish line at Waterville Valley Sept. 24th starting at 9am on Packards Field and ending as quickly as they can in the heart of Town Square.  Shops will be open and vendors will be in the courtyard to serve up tasty specials during the event.  Course walk through will begin at 8am with the boys race starting at 9am followed by the girls at 9:45am and awards after  in Town Square. 17th Annual Chili Challenge & Brew Tent

Waterville Valley area restaurants compete in Town Square for the title of the best chili around! Attendees pay a sampling fee of $7.50 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under) to taste all contenders' chili and then vote for a favorite chili starting at 12pm. More info

Waterville Valley Nordic Center

Roller Ski Demo and Clinic with Woodski

Woodski Roller skis are made with laminated birch wood for strength and flexibility and a removable brake for safety! These skis are made in NH and customizations of wheel speed, shaft thickness, binding choices including NIS are available and used by US ski team members 

 Each ½ hr demo is followed by a one hour clinic which includes instruction and skis & boots if needed. Skiers must bring their own bike helmet and poles. Great Glen Trails

Salomon Fall Trail Running/Walking Series

 A weekly trail running race series for all abilities and ages. Every Thursday for six weeks racers can run/walk the long, short or mini courses between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Awards for top three in each category. Prizes for competitors who complete four out of six weeks are based on a raffle at the end of series awards party. More info 

FEWABS for Females

An outdoor fitness program to help women ages 16+ develop:Flexibility Endurance Whole body involvement Agility Balance andStrength. Led by Sue Wemyss, 1984 Olympian and long time ski and fitness instructor, this class is about fun and group engagement! $59 for 6 weeks or $12 single session. 9:30am-11:00am More info
