KIDS' ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS ABOUND AT NEW HAMPSHIRE SKI RESORTS
Keeping kids happy, even on a vacation, can be a real challenge -- but it's easy at any of Ski NH's kid-friendly winter resorts. The programs and activities for winter fun at these resorts have plenty of options for kids of all ages - from little tykes to teens. Programs for younger skiers combine personal attention, safety, and instruction along with the opportunity to make new friends on the slope. For older kids and teens, there's the exciting world of halfpipes, terrain parks, snowtoys, night skiing, snowtubing and fun events to enter or watch. At Ski NH winter resorts, family members can do their own thing, depending on age, ability, and interest, while at the same time building great family memories of being together for winter fun.
ALPINE AREAS
Attitash, Bartlett
Full-day programs include lunch.

The Balsams Wilderness, Dixville Notch

-Wind Whistle Snow Farm is for kids ages 4-6. Cost: $43 for 1 1/2 program; program available as a.m. session only.
-Tiny Turns Private Lesson is for children ages 3-4. Cost: $43 for 1 hour lesson.
-Day care is available in a well-equipped play room in the alpine base lodge, and welcomes children no longer in diapers. Limited space is available.

-The Black Bear Cub daily program is offered for kids ages 4-6 years old. Cost: $79 half day (10a-noon); $20 afternoon upgrade.

-Freestyle Progression Camp is a full-day program offered on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for skiers and riders 7 years and older who want to optimize their park and pipe experience. Program cost includes lunch. Cost: $99.
-Sno Jam is held on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for 13-17 year olds who want to spend a day cruising the mountain. Skiers & riders should be at least early intermediate ability level to participate.
McIntyre Ski Area, Manchester
- Ski & Snowboard Vacation Program is a week long program (5 consecutive days of two hour morning lessons), being held from Feb 25-Mar 1. Cost: $125; rental equipment is $60 additional.
-Little Mac's offers the ideal learning environment for young skiers. The vacation program offers five consecutive days, with a one hour lesson each day, from Feb 25-Mar 1. Class can be taken from 12:30-1:30p or 2-3p. Cost: $120; rental equipment is $50 additional.
Mount Sunapee, Newbury
-Mountain Explorers is designed for 8-12 year olds and is offered as a half day or full day program. It includes a ski or snowboard lesson, equipment rentals and lift ticket; the full day program also includes lunch. Cost: full day $102; half day $85.
-Snowstars Program is designed for 4-7 year olds and is offered as a half day or full day program. It includes a lesson, equipment rentals and lift ticket; the full day program also includes lunch. Ski lessons are offered for ages 4-7; snowboard lessons are offered for ages 6-7. Cost: full day $102; half day $85.
-Tag-A-Long Program allows for a parent to join a private lesson for their 3-4 year old and learn the methods of teaching that instructors use in order to be able to reinforce the lesson during future ski days. Cost for one 3-4 year old and one parent: $99.
-Families First allows families to learn how to ski and snowboard together in the same class. Family members must be at least 8 years old. The first day program includes a lesson, equipment rentals & a beginner ticket. Cost: $75. Families can then choose to purchase Day 2 & 3 for $75 ($37.50 per day).

Camps are 6 hours/day, 9:30a-3:30p for three consecutive days and include lunch. Limited space available. Camp dates are Feb 18-20 and Feb 25-27. During this one hour private lesson, parents are allowed to trail along with their child and instructor, and receive valuable information on how to safely learn on the mountain. Great Glen Trails, Pinkham Notch
-Daily lessons are offered for kids and emphasize having fun while learning.
- A special ski camp called Penguins and Polar Bears will be offered during February vacation weeks (Feb 17-19 and Feb 24-26). The three-day morning sessions include rental equipment and feature games and scavenger hunts to improve skiing ability. Penguins are age 6-8, and Polar Bears are age 9-11. Cost: $99.
