JANUARY WAS LEARN A SNOW SPORT MONTH IN NEW HAMPSHIRE!
It was a great month, kicked off by a free learn to ski & snowboard week, followed by special offers all month long at participating Ski NH alpine and cross country areas! More than 2700 people signed up for the free week, and we're in the process of following up with the ski areas now to see how many newcomers came to enjoy alpine & cross country snowsports!
If you didn't get a chance to try skiing or snowboarding this past month, it's not too late! Ski NH alpine & cross country areas offer special learn to ski and snowboard lesson packages all season long. Don't be a couch potato - get out and enjoy winter!
Governor John Lynch proclaimed January 2010 as Learn a Snow Sport Month in New Hampshire!
We appreciate the Governor's support! In recognition of the importance of outdoor winter recreation - including skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing and snowmobiling - Governor John Lynch has signed a state proclamation honoring this month as Learn a Snow Sport Month. With all the snow we've been getting this winter, you owe it to yourself to get out and enjoy it! And, if you're already out there skiing or snowboarding in all this white stuff, tell a friend that hasn't tried it yet!
You could win the grand prize - a learn to ski or snowboard getaway, with two days of learn-to lessons for two at Wildcat Mountain & two nights' lodging at the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson. The second place prize is a pair of learn-to lessons & lift tickets at Black Mountain, with two nights' lodging at the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson. Runner-up prizes include learn to ski or learn to snowboard packages at Pats Peak and Cranmore.
Drawing will be held the first week of February, and you'll have your prize in hand in time to take your lessons in February or March.
