Bretton Woods

Ever wish you could hire an instructor to meet you where your level of experience is, but for a longer period of time? We introduce, The Half Day. This 3.5 hour, semi-private lesson is available for up to 4 people ages 7 and older. Think one-on-one coaching for any level of skier or rider. Whether you're just starting out skiing or riding, or maybe you want to hone your skills on the steeps or in the trees, The Half Day is your opportunity to learn from an instructor who will coach you to elevate your movements and style. During the lesson, we have planned for 2 short breaks for a snack or to warm-up. This is a great way to learn, explore, or rip it up with a pro. Everyone in the lesson should be at the same ability level. Lessons starting daily beginning in December.

Bretton Woods

Bretton Woods is pleased to offer private lessons for the 2022-23 ski season. Advanced on-line reservations are required for all lessons.

Private ski and snowboard lessons provide a personal experience tailored to your needs. At Bretton Woods Ski Resort, we offer a private lesson for one person or a semi-private lesson up to four people that is customized for family and friends who want to learn together. Lessons are available for people ages 4 years-old and older. Lessons will run for 90-minutes daily beginning in December.

Great Glen Trails

If you’ve never skied before or can’t remember the last time you went cross country skiing, then a Learn-to-Ski Lesson Package is a perfect place to start. We begin with an introduction to the equipment, practice some techniques indoors if necessary (masks required when inside), then go outside onto the snow to slide around and work on balance, diagonal striding and introducing poles.

A Learn to Ski Lesson is 1 hour and 15 minutes and includes a trail pass and ski rental for the day. Lessons are offered at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, and 1:00 pm daily. Reservations recommended.

Bebe Wood Free learn-to-Ski or Ride Program

Our Bebe Wood Free Learn-to-Ski or Ride Program is available Monday through Thursday this winter (excludes holiday black-out dates of Dec. 26-31, 2023; Jan. 13-14, 2024; and Feb. 17-19, 2024.)

This program is a fun and easy way to learn without any risk to your wallet. 

• This program is available Monday - Thursday ONLY during non-holiday periods
• 3 lessons for first-time snow sport athletes only, ages 7 and up. ALL 3 LESSONS MUST BE COMPLETED THIS SEASON
• If you have previous skiing or snowboarding experience, we are happy to book you in a Private or Group Lesson instead!
• Includes Rossignol rental equipment and Lower Mountain Lift Ticket.
• Lessons run for approximately 2 hours.
• After your lesson, keep practicing for the rest of the day for only $20 with our "Extend Your Day" lift ticket and rental equipment!*
• Purchase a Mission: Affordable season pass for the remainder of the season for only $69 - following the completion of your third lesson.**
• Additional lessons for the current and following season are only $29 for Bebe Wood Program graduates!

Waterville Valley Adventure Center

Ranked by USA Today's Readers’ Choice as the best Cross-Country Ski Resort on the East Coast, the Waterville Valley Adventure Center is the Nordic ski hub of the Northeast.

We are a full-service retail and rental shop, offering Nordic skis, snowshoes, fat bikes, and pulk sleds. Over 70+ km of trails are accessible directly from almost anywhere within Waterville Valley. Trails are also accessible from the Alpine Ski Resort. Trails traverse deep into the White Mountain National Forest and are groomed for skate and classic skiing. Snowshoeing is welcome on any trail and fat biking is welcome on select trails with the purchase of a trail pass. Dogs are also welcome on select trails.

When you work one-on-one with an instructor, learning happens quickly. Whether you’re looking for private snowboarding lessons or private ski lessons, we are ready to help you meet your goals on snow! Our instructors are trained to accommodate you at any level. Whether you are just starting out in a snow sport or looking to improve your turns, we have the instructors to get you there.

90 Minute Private Lessons are offered every day Tuesday-Friday starting at 3pm or 5pm

2 Hour Private Lessons are offered Saturdays & Sundays starting at 10am or 1pm

5 Hour Private Lessons are offered Saturdays & Sundays from 10am-3pm

*5 hour lessons include an hour of classroom time over lunch from 12pm-1pm*
