SEASON PASSES OFFER EVEN BETTER VALUE AT NEW HAMPSHIRE SKI AREAS


NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH, OCTOBER 2008 - Many New Hampshire skiers and riders have discovered that season passes need no longer be the sole possession of the hardcore skier and rider.  Gone are the days when skiers and riders needed to spend 20+ days on the slopes to make a season pass worthwhile.  Skiers and riders who spend eight days or more on the slopes should consider a season pass to save money and get more days on the snow. 

Below is a quick look at what is being offered in the Granite State for the 2008-09 winter season.  Visit SkiNH.com for continuing updates, and a more detailed listing of passes.  Prices are current as of October, 2008, pricing will increase as it gets closer to the start of the ski season.


Attitash - The Classic Pass is valid every day except for 11 holiday blackout dates; adult pass is $579 and young adult, junior & senior passes are $529.  The Midweek Pass is valid Monday-Friday with seven holiday blackout dates; an all-ages pass is $449.  Prices are valid through October 13, 2008.


Attitash and Crotched Mountain - The Granite Pass is valid everyday at Attitash and Crotched Mountain; adult pass is $679, and young adult, junior & senior passes are $629.  The Nor'easter Pass is valid everyday at Attitash, Crotched, Mount Snow (VT), Jack Frost (PA) and Big Boulder (PA); adult pass is $949, young adult pass is $849, junior pass is $749 and senior pass is $649.  Prices are valid through October 13, 2008.


Bretton Woods, Cranmore and Waterville Valley - This season the Threedom Pass includes Bretton Woods, Cranmore and Waterville Valley.  The Threedom Pass Anytime option with no blackout dates at all three resorts is $799 for adults (ages 19+), $479 for teens (ages 13-18) and $429 for juniors (ages 6-12).   A Limited Edition Pass is also available for $699 for adults, $419 for teens and $349 for juniors.  This Limited Edition pass is valid any day at Cranmore and Waterville Valley, and with blackout dates of 12/27/2008-1/3/2009, 1/17-1/18/2009, and 2/14-2/21/2009 at Mount Washington Resort's Bretton Woods.  All prices are subject to increase on November 30, 2008. 

The new 4-NH College Pass is valid at these three areas, plus Cannon Mountain.  Full-time college students (12 credits or more) can pick up this pass for $279 before November 30, 2008.


Bretton Woods - The Midweek Expedition pass is valid daily from opening day through December 19, midweek from December 20-March 15, and daily from March 16 through closing day.  The pass is not valid 12/25/08-1/4/09, 1/19/09 & 2/14-2/22/09.  Cost is $249 for all ages.


Bretton Woods and Cannon Mountain  - The Bold & Beautiful Pass is valid daily from opening day through December 19, midweek from December 20-March 15, and daily from March 16 through closing day.  The pass is not valid 12/25/08-1/4/09, 1/19/09 & 2/14-2/22/09.  Cost is $299 for all ages.


Cannon Mountain - Adult season passes are $670, juniors (age 14-18) are $370, and children (ages 6-13) are $300.  New Hampshire residents receive a 25% discount (adults $500, juniors $275, children $225); to receive this discount, NH resident passes must be purchased by December 14, 2008.  The new 4-NH College Pass, valid at Cannon, Waterville Valley, Bretton Woods & Cranmore, is $279 for full-time college students if purchased before November 30, 2008.


Cranmore - Anytime Happy Trails passes are valid any day of the season; the Adult Limited Happy Trails pass is valid any day except holidays.  Every Happy Trails passholder also receives the "bring a buddy" benefit - bring a friend, Monday-Friday non-holiday, and that friend receives 50% off the price of his/her lift ticket.  Anytime Happy Trails prices are $479 for adults (age 19+), $299 for teens (age 13-18), and $169 for youth (ages 6-12).  The Adult Limited pass is $319.  Prices valid through November 30, 2008.


Crotched Mountain - The Adult Season Pass (ages 18+, $299) and Junior Season Pass (ages 6-17, $249) offer unlimited slope access during the entire season, including nights; Midnight Madness sessions are an optional $59 add-on.  The Unlimited Family Pass costs $1199 and offers unlimited slope access, including all Midnight Madness events, with no blackout dates; pass is valid for 5 family members (2 parents and up to 3 dependents; additional dependents are $100 each).  The Midweek Pass costs $199 for all ages and offers midweek slope access Monday -Friday from 9a-9p, with no blackout dates. Crotched Mountain also offers night passes and Midnight Madness passes.


Dartmouth Skiway - Full season passes are $399 for adults, $250 for high school students (age 13-18), $225 for juniors (age 6-12) and $225 for seniors (age 65+).  Prices valid through November 29, 2008.


Granite Gorge  - Season passes valid during all operating hours are $349 for adults, $299 for juniors (age 6-17) and seniors (age 65+), and $799 for a family.


Great Glen Trails - Great Glen Trails is offering free season passes to children ages 17 and under when that child's adult or guardian purchases a pass.  Passes are $140 for adults, $95 for ages 13-17, and $80 for ages 5-12.  Passes purchased before December 1, 2008 receive a $25 discount.  Passes also include unlimited snowtubing.


Gunstock Mountain Resort - Your purchase of a Prime Time season pass include two lift tickets for Cannon Mountain.  Prime Time Adult passes are $459, Prime Time Teen passes are $379, Prime Time Senior passes are $379 and Prime Time child passes are $249.  Night passes are $209 & midweek passes are $279 for all ages.

The College Breakout Pass is $239 and offers unlimited skiing and riding at Gunstock, Mount Sunapee and Wildcat.  The pass is for full-time college students only.

 

King Pine - Full season passes are $399 for adults, $339 for teens (age 13-18), $289 for juniors (age 6-12), $289 for seniors (age 65-69) and $49 for age 70+.  Prices valid through October 31, 2008.


Loon Mountain - The 2008/09 New England Pass gives you convenient direct-to-lift access at Loon Mountain, Sunday River (ME) & Sugarloaf (ME).  The Bronze Pass is valid midweek, non-holiday, and is priced at $399 for all ages.  The Silver Pass is valid every day except 12 blackout dates during holiday periods, and costs $649 for adults, $599 teens and $549 juniors.  The Gold Pass is valid every day of the season; adult rates are $949, teen rates are $749, junior rates are $649 and senior rates are $479.  Prices are valid through October 13, 2008.  The College Pass is $329 for full-time college students, price valid through November 30, 2008.


Mount Sunapee - Mount Sunapee offers a variety of passes, including the Peak Season Pass, valid seven days/week with no blackouts at Mount Sunapee & seven days/week, non-holiday at Okemo (adult rate $899); Value Pass Plus, valid seven days/week non-holiday at Mount Sunapee, Okemo & Stratton (all ages rate $699); and the Midweek Super Pass, valid Monday-Friday non-holiday at Mount Sunapee, Okemo & Stratton (adult rate $369).  Young adult & junior rates are also available on the Peak Season Pass; the College Pass includes unlimited skiing and riding at Mount Sunapee, Okemo and Stratton for $315 if purchased by December 21, 2008.  Other pass prices valid through October 13, 2008.

The College Breakout Pass is $239 and offers unlimited skiing and riding at Gunstock, Mount Sunapee and Wildcat.  The pass is for full-time college students only and pricing is valid until December 24, 2008.  The Graduate Pass is aimed at recent graduates, allowing those with at least a two-year degree to lock in for the 2008-09 season for $499 and $649 for the 2009-2010 season to enjoy unlimited skiing/riding at Mount Sunapee.


Pats Peak - 2008-09 season passes are on sale at Pats Peak at discounted rates until November 2, 2008.  Passes start at $219 for midweek passes for ages 6+.  The Unlimited Pass for adults is $379 and $289 for juniors (age 6-17).  The Powder Pass Club Season Pass is $439 for adults and $339 for juniors (age 6-17), offering many additional benefits.  College, senior & transferable season passes are also available.  As an added convenience, season pass holders can add money to their season pass cards to use as a debit card anywhere on the mountain.


Ragged Mountain Resort - Adult season passes are on sale for $399; passes for juniors, seniors & college students are priced at $279.  Prices valid through November 1, 2008.


Waterville Valley - The Edition Value Pass is valid Sunday through Friday, excluding 12/27/08-1/3/09, 1/17-1/18/09 and 2/14-2/21/09; price for all ages is $469.  Senior & military passes are also available.  The 4-NH College Pass features Waterville Valley, Cannon Mountain, Bretton Woods, and Cranmore; cost is $279 for full-time students if purchased before November 30, 2008.


Wildcat Mountain - You'll find the most vertical value in the Black Cat Midweek Pass, valid for all ages, midweek non-holiday, for $299.  New this year, the Adult Non-Holiday 6-Day Pass is valid for ages 19+, Sundays through Fridays, excluding Saturdays and holiday periods; cost is $549. An Adult Full Pass (valid any day) is $749, the Teen Full Pass is $439 and the Junior Full Pass is $329.  All passholders receive a 10% discount on retail, rentals, tuning & repairs, as well as a free Wildcat Express Summer Scenic Gondola Ride.  All prices valid through October 15, 2008.

The College Breakout Pass is $239 and offers unlimited skiing and riding at Gunstock, Mount Sunapee and Wildcat.  The pass is for full-time college students only.
