WINTER INFORMATION:

Friendly people have been the heart of Black Mountain for more than 75 years. Family is the focus, and you will feel it upon your very first visit; from the terrain to the staff to the skiers and riders, it just feels like home. The mountain prides itself on affordability, high-quality ski programs, and a safe environment for children. And while Black is the perfect choice for beginners of all ages, there is plenty of challenging terrain for advanced skiers and riders as well. Black is known for its narrow, wooded trails and glades, a refreshing reminder of how the sport was intended to be. And the mountain’s southern exposure and protection from the wind are incredibly welcoming on those blustery days. So, if you are looking for a classic New England experience, where the pace is delightfully slower but every bit as adventurous, then you will have found it when you arrive at Black Mountain.
