Thursday warm and humid air will overspread the region ahead of an approaching cold front. Highs on Thursday will generally range in the 70s with showers and thunderstorms likely by afternoon. The cold front will slowly cross New England Thursday night into Friday and stall in the Gulf of Maine resulting in cool and showers weather for Friday and Saturday. High pressure is expected to break the cool and unsettles weather on Sunday and Memorial Day with sunny skies and a return of seasonal temperatures.
