Here’s to celebrating the dads, grandpas, and father figures in our lives! This year, Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16, and while it’s possible that grillin' n' chillin' is dad's Father's Day dream come true, why not make it extra special by planning a memorable day or weekend? We’ve rounded up 5 great ideas for celebrating Father’s Day weekend in the mountains of New Hampshire.

Go Fishin' 

Grab your kids and tackle and head to the shores of Corcoran Pond for a fishing derby at the Casting for Kirby: Youth Fishing Derby on June 15th at Waterville Valley Resort.

Check out an Adventure Park  

Cranmore Mountain Resort, on June 16th, Dad plays for free with the purchase of an All Day Play Pass, Mountain Adventure Park Pass or Aerial Adventure Park Pass.   

Namaste on the Slopes 

For the Yogi Dad, treat him to a Mountain Top Yoga session at Gunstock Mountain Resort on June 15th at 9:00am.

Head to a Beach in the Mountains 

The slopes of Cannon Mountain ski area drop right to the edge of Echo Lake, and the view highlights where the Franconia Range and Kinsman Range meet, creating the notch. Echo Lake Beach, at Cannon Mountain, is open daily from June 15th with Canoes, Kayaks, and Pedal Boats available to rent!

Experience New Hampshire’s Highest Disc Golf Course 

Loon Mountain Resort's alpine-style Loon Peak Disc Golf Course is located deep in the White Mountain National Forest and is one of the most unique disc golf venues in New England. To reach the first hole, players will ride New Hampshire's longest scenic Gondola Skyride to the summit of Loon Peak.
