The Turtle Ridge Foundation (TRF), established by Olympic medalist and four-time world skiing champion Bode Miller, his family and Cannon Mountain, will host BodeFest at Cannon Mountain Ski Area on March 24, 2018. 100% of the event registration fee will benefit The Turtle Ridge Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting innovative and progressive adaptive and youth athletic opportunities in our communities.There will also be a Silent & Live Auction benefiting the Foundation - open to everyone. King Pine at Purity Spring Resort

King's Mark Freeride Series - Rail Jam

The King's Broad Arrow identified the biggest and tallest of the King's Pines -  and our Freeride series takes that tradition of excellence to new heights in this new, under the lights, three event series in the Twisted Pine Terrain Park.   

Age Group Breakdown:
  • 12 and under
  • 13-20
  • 21+

Welcoming all abilities with no gender divide. Scoring/judging best of 2 runs.

  • $5 entry fee.
  • Helmets Required.
  • Release of Liability will be required and anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian's signature. 
Awards and sponsorship prizes for First, Second and Third place. Additional prizes for participants will be awarded with a fun Yankee Swap bib draw.
  • 4-5:30 p.m. - Registration in Fireplace Room main base lodge.
  • 5:40 p.m. - Participant/athlete mandatory meeting at top of Twisted Pine Terrain Park.
  • 6-6:30 p.m. - Rail Jam course inspection.
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. - Event (8:00 p.m. - Park closed)
  • 8:15 p.m. - Awards and Yankee Swap bib draw

Guided Snowshoe Tour

During the winter months, guided snowshoe tours may be available on Saturdays at 2 p.m. (weather permitting) and are $12 per person ($20 with snowshoe rentals).

Interested participants are asked to sign-up and meet at The Mill Indoor Pool & Fitness Center across from the Purity Spring Main Office before the start of the tour.

Please call ahead to confirm date of scheduled snowshoe tours.

Waterville Valley Resort

U.S. Freestyle Championships

The nation’s best freestyle skiers will compete for national titles this spring at the 2018 U.S. Freestyle Championships. Aerials competitions will take place at the Utah Olympic Park followed by moguls at New Hampshire’s Waterville Valley Resort.

The moguls U.S. championships will be returning to the East Coast for the first time since 2012. Competition is scheduled for March 20-24 and will feature moguls and dual moguls. Morgan Schild (Rochester, N.Y.) and Jaelin Kauf (Alta, Wyo.) are the reigning women’s moguls and dual moguls champions. Hunter Bailey (Vail, Colo.) will be looking to defend both the men’s moguls and dual moguls titles.

Carve it up with BMW March 23-25 at Waterville Valley Resort.
Our partner, BMW, brings The Winter xDrive Experience to Waterville Valley Resort. At three locations throughout Waterville Valley, BMW is hosting a series of demonstrations of their X Series vehicles. Guests can learn winter driving tips and techniques from professional drivers and can even test drive X Series cars at two of the locations. At the mountain, there is an exhibition in the courtyard where guests can ride as a passenger with a professional driver as they demonstrate driving on snow including manuevers for tight tuns and hills. In Town Square and at the Golden Eagle Lodge, guests can test drive vehicles on a scenic tour through the Valley. More Info

Mt. Washington Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation

Weekly Guided Snowshoe Tour

Depart every Saturday (weather permitting) from the Touring Center at 1:00 pm. Ideal for first-timers and novices interested in learning basic techniques.

Join us any Saturday afternoon for a guided snowshoe walk along the East Branch and Saco rivers. This is a great way to try this winter activity which is gaining in popularity with each season. 

The tour will last between 1.5 - 2 hours covering a distance of fewer than 2 miles at an easy pace suitable for all ages and abilities. Learn about the trees and wildlife and search for animal tracks while learning basic snowshoeing technique and bushwacking skills.
