Last Tracks with Moat Brewery

This is one of the most fun events of the season! Ride up the chairlift at 4pm, enjoy delicious appetizers and a tasting of locally brewed Moat Beer with one of the real, live Moat Brewers! After the tasting, we ski down in the dark on a freshly groomed trail with headlamps. It's hard to say which is the better part of the event--the skiing or the beer!

Women’s Winter Escape

This is a unique chance to learn and take part in a variety of activities with other women in small groups, providing for personalized attention from expert instructors.

The activities include a variety of ski clinics for classic and skate techniques, beginner through advanced, snowshoeing led by a naturalist, yoga; snow tubing, pre- and post-activity stretching, lunch, and an après ski wine and cheese gathering with discounted shopping in the Great Glen Outfitter Shop. Women’s Winter Escape is limited to twenty participants, ensuring a low instructor to student ratio for maximum learning.

Ski with a Naturalist

In conjunction with the Appalachian Mountain Club, Great Glen Trails offers you the chance to really get to know Pinkham Notch, with a FREE tour (trail pass is required). When you ski with a naturalist, you will learn about the flora and fauna that make our corner of the world so special. Evening Snowshoe Tours

Experience the wonder of a night time winter walk. Join a Naturalist from the Appalachian Mountain Club on a guided snowshoe tour. We will use our senses (and no flashlights) to navigate the trails while listening for owls calling and exploring our senses.

Demo Days

Come try out this season's top skis, courtesy of Mountainside Outfitters and Piche's Ski Shop. Mountainside Outfitters will be offering free one hour demos on Head skis. Piche's will be featuring demos from Blizzard, K2, Nordica, Rosignol, Salomon, and Volkl. 

Demos are free to season pass holders and the public with purchase of a lift ticket. Event starts at 8:30 and goes to 4:00pm.

Snowshoe Ridge Tours

Get a fun, beautiful night hiking experience, with a low-key effort. We will brave the cold and darkness together. With headlamps and snowshoes, we'll board the Tiger Chair to ascend, and traverse the ridge on foot! A great way to kick off your evening!

Meier Skis Demo Day

Join us for our Bretton Woods Demo Days this winter! At these demos, skiers will be able to test the newest gear from vendors such as Rossignol, K-2 and Armada. See below for a full list of brands.

The best part is that these demos will be right on the snow; so no need to get off the slopes! Just visit the demo area next to the canopy tour building at Bretton Woods for a custom fit set of skis (and sometimes boards) and an opportunity to discover a new favorite. Use of demo skis at these events are complimentary and skiers will be required to fill out and sign a release form.

Enjoy the classic experience of riding among surrounding fields and within wooded trails in a horse-driven sleigh. A unique winter fun outing for families and friends of all ages. In addition to the approximate 15-20 minute ride in the sleigh, we invite you to warm yourself by an outdoor fire before and after your ride and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.

Where: Parking and rides begin and end at an outdoor location approximately one mile south of King Pine / half-mile south Purity Spring Resort on Route 153. Entrance to parking area is on the south-bound side of Route 153 and noticeable signing will be out during operating times.

Guided Snowshoe Tour

During the winter months, guided snowshoe tours may be available on Saturdays at 2 p.m. (weather permitting) and are $12 per person ($20 with snowshoe rentals).

Interested participants are asked to sign-up and meet at The Mill Indoor Pool & Fitness Center across from the Purity Spring Main Office before the start of the tour.

Please call ahead to confirm date of scheduled snowshoe tours.

Mt. Washington Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation

Weekly Guided Snowshoe Tour

Depart every Saturday (weather permitting) from the Touring Center at 1:00 pm. Ideal for first-timers and novices interested in learning basic techniques.

Join us any Saturday afternoon for a guided snowshoe walk along the East Branch and Saco rivers. This is a great way to try this winter activity which is gaining in popularity with each season. 

The tour will last between 1.5 - 2 hours covering a distance of fewer than 2 miles at an easy pace suitable for all ages and abilities. Learn about the trees and wildlife and search for animal tracks while learning basic snowshoeing technique and bushwacking skills.

Whitaker Woods Snowshoe Scramble

This Snowshoe Scramble race is a Granite State Snowshoe Series Event to be held in Whitaker Woods, the in-town trail network maintained by the Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Foundation located in North Conway Village. This 4-mile race course consists of groomed trails and twisty singletrack.

Starry Nights at Sunnyside Timberlodge

Join us for our Starry Nights Celebration! Starry Nights offers gourmet dining to an acoustic beat while nestled mountainside around a fire inside the Sunnyside Timberlodge.  Guests will enjoy the stars as they ride up the Valley Run Quad then ski or ride to the Sunnyside Timberlodge along a torch lit trail.
