CONWAY, NH (January 3, 2018)—This month, alpine and cross-country ski areas across the country are celebrating Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month with deals on lessons for first timers, and New Hampshire is no exception. Many of Ski New Hampshire’s member ski areas are encouraging an introduction to snowsports with a $39 alpine beginner special, which includes a group lesson, rental equipment, and a lift ticket, while those interested in learning to Nordic ski can reap those benefits for just $19.

“Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month aims to break down the cost barrier by introducing those who have never stepped foot in a ski or snowboard boot to the sport towards the beginning of the winter. This allows first timers to develop of a love of snowsports through a proper lesson, and to continue to take advantage of New Hampshire’s many resorts and incredible conditions for the rest of the ski season,” says Karolyn Castaldo, Communications and Marketing Manager for Ski New Hampshire.

Though offers vary by ski area, this month-long promotion is heightened by specialty events, including Bring A Friend Weekend (January 5-7), World Snow Day (January 21), and the non-profit’s inaugural Ski New Hampshire Weekend event (January 27-28), which celebrates New Hampshire’s official state sport with parties, deals, and giveaways.
