Cold Turkey Plunge

Saturday, November 26, 2022 (all day)
Join the Waterville Valley community in Town Square for the 10th Annual Cold Turkey Plunge! Every November, locals, visitors, and longtime community members gather on the beach of Corcoran Pond to take the plunge into freezing waters in support of Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports. Over the past 10 years, the Waterville Valley community has raised over $385,000 to benefit the mission of Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports. The Cold Turkey Plunge kicks off with a Pre-Plunge Parade. Community members gather in Town Square as WVAS volunteers, members, and plungers march to the dock with bagpipers in tow. As part of the annual tradition, plungers also participate in a Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded for the most funds raised (team & individual) and best costume (team & individual). Costumes are encouraged but optional. Plungers will be rewarded with an official Plunge Shirt, a gourmet cold turkey sandwich (courtesy of Chef Sean Stout at the Coyote Grill) and other incentives and goodies! Following the Cold Turkey Plunge, Santa will arrive in Town Square bearing gifts and candy for each child who comes to visit.
