Community Ski Areas

Ski NH Community Ski Area Members
The following are small non-profit or municipally-run ski areas that meet the responsibilities of the ski area operator set forth by NH law and have joined Ski NH as community ski area members. Community ski areas are often great places for families and others to learn to ski and enjoy winter outdoors in their communities.

Bedford XC Ski Club/ Earl Legacy Park
Founded in 1996, the Bedford Cross-Country Ski Club brings together Nordic skiing enthusiasts in southern New Hampshire. Based at Earl Legacy Park, the Club maintains and grooms a 5km trail system open to the public. We offer ski instruction, equipment, a warming hut, and a variety of programs, including the Sunday “Bill Koch League” for children up to 8th grade. Over 100 local middle and high school racers train and compete here each season.

The Mt. Eustis rope tow first operated in 1939 and continued into the 1980s. After shutting down for over two decades, a group of dedicated Littleton-area residents decided to revive the community ski hill in 2016 to provide affordable access to snowsports in the White Mountains. With a main run, a terrain park, and several off-piste glades, Mt. Eustis offers an entry-point for experiencing snowsports without financial barriers. Embracing the enduring grit of North Country ski culture, Mt. Eustis Ski Hill is powered entirely by a passionate volunteer crew and the non-profit’s dedicated board of directors.

The Nansen Ski Club is “America’s Oldest” , being founded in the late 1800s by a group of Scandinavians in Berlin, NH. It is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-run Nordic skiing Club which operates a small network of groomed cross country skiing scenic trails in Milan Hill State park as well as managing an active ski jumping complex at the Nansen Ski Jump Historic site in Milan, NH, hosting ski jumping events there each year. Still in the works is expansion of its trail network and the full restoration of the Big Nansen ski jump, the “World’s Tallest” when built in 1938.
