Torchlight Parade and Fireworks ( 5:00pm - 7:00pm )

Gunstock will be hosting a torchlight parade and fireworks display, open to the public. As soon as darkness falls, a serpentine formation of skiers and riders carrying torches will make their way down the mountain. The history of ski torchlight parades dates back to the 1930s and they have evolved from using actual flares to incorporating LED lights. A grand fireworks display will follow the torchlight parade. Gunstock’s Barrel Bar & Grille will be open for dining and drinks, and feature live music leading up to the event. More Info >

TGIF Race League Registration Deadline

Get ready for an exciting season of friendly competition on the slopes. The TGIF Race League is a ski and snowboard series designed for racers ages 10 and up. Open to both individuals and teams of up to 7 people, this is a great way to sharpen your skills, connect with fellow racers, and enjoy the thrill of racing in a supportive and energetic atmosphere. Originally staged during the winter of 1972-73, the Geschmossel is one of New England’s oldest citizens’ races. The race originated as a 6-kilometer fun race, and was groomed with a homemade track sled that was pulled by a rope from a grooming machine. Today this 15 km classical style Nordic ski race is part of the ZAK Cup Series and takes place on the Ammonoosuc trail network at the Bretton Woods Nordic Center and has grown to attract high-level skiers including members of the United States Ski Team. Boarding for Breast Cancer Weekend is back at Waterville Valley Resort! Waterville has raised over $75,000 in the last 16 years through this event. Boarding 4 Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation.
