December 1, 2025

Ski New Hampshire

Conway, NH — New Hampshire’s ski season is officially underway. Ski New Hampshire—the statewide association representing more than 30 alpine and Nordic resorts—reports that Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain, Loon Mountain, and Waterville Valley Resort are now open daily for skiing and riding. Wildcat Mountain plans to open Wednesday. With up to 28” of snowfall to date at higher elevations, snow in the forecast, and snowmaking and grooming operations in full swing across the state, other areas are planning to open in the coming days and weeks. For those planning ski days and trips, up-to-date opening dates and trail conditions can be found at SkiNH.com/Conditions.

For skiers and riders looking to keep winter adventures affordable, New Hampshire’s ski areas are offering a wide range of enticing discounts. Even though Black Friday has passed, families can still take advantage of numerous value-packed deals to plan a budget-friendly getaway.

Savings for Families and Beginners

Families with young children can access free lift tickets for kids under six at most mountains, and beginners of any age can often find discounted novice-area passes—such as Granite Gorge Mountain Park’s Base Camp ticket, valid during all open hours for $20.

Many resorts also reduce the cost of lift tickets and rentals when guests book a learn-to-ski or ride lesson, making it easier for new skiers and riders to get started. For added fun, McIntyre Ski Area and Pats Peak both bundle night skiing and snowboarding, snowtubing, rentals, and lesson tips for a discounted package rate of between $58–$99 on qualifying Saturdays, depending on guest arrival time.

Deal Days

Several mountains feature weekly and special-date discounts. At King Pine, all guests can ski or ride from 3:30–8 p.m. on Tuesdays for just $20. Cranmore Mountain Resort offers select Sunday deals for its guests—on Jan. 11, Feb. 8, and March 15—when online purchasers can enjoy full-day access for $59.

Regional discounts provide even more ways to save. Every Sunday at Bretton Woods, qualifying locals can purchase an afternoon half-day alpine ticket for $42 or a Nordic trail pass for $15, with a few blackout dates (12/28, 1/18, and 2/15). At Cannon Mountain, New Hampshire residents with a valid ID pay just $54 on off-peak Wednesdays, while NH seniors 65+ ski free on weekdays. Locals from Carroll and Coos counties in New Hampshire and Oxford County in Maine can ski Cranmore Mountain Resort on non-holiday Sunday afternoons for $38, and enjoy night skiing for $35, or go tubing for $25 on non-holiday Wednesdays from 2–8 p.m.

Multi-Day Tickets and Season Passes

Guests planning multiple ski days have additional options. Discounted 2-, 3-, and/or 4-ticket packs are available while they last at Loon Mountain Resort, Tenney Mountain, King Pine, Cannon Mountain, Waterville Valley Resort, Ragged Mountain Resort, and Cranmore Mountain. Those expecting to ski even more frequently can still benefit from season passes. Some, including the Epic Pass—valid at Attitash Mountain Resort, Crotched Mountain, Mount Sunapee, and Wildcat Mountain—have purchase deadlines, so it’s important not to delay your purchase.

Additional details on all these offerings, along with college, senior, military, and veteran discounts, can be found on Ski NH’s Deals page.
