Gunstock Mountain Resort EV Charging & Other Conservation Initiatives

As part of Gunstock's recent capital expense improvements, parking lot upgrades included the installation of five level 2 ChargePoint chargers for a total of 10 charging spots (EV Plug J1772). Chargers are open 24/7 and have tap-to-pay capability for credit card use. The fee being charged is $.25 per kWh.

Gunstock is also proud to work with local organizations such as Belknap County Conservation District. The BCCD works with farmers, forest owners, landowners, schools, and municipalities to promote the use, protection, and conservation of natural resources on both private and public land, rural and urban. They work in collaboration with other environmental organizations and private sector professionals, do on-the-groundwork to improve and maintain Belknap County's environment through projects such as stream bed restoration, invasive species management, and pollinator plantings. They educate members of the community through workshops, events and installations such as interpretive trail signs to help inform people about the importance of natural resources. Conservation programs are carried out through education and the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs). Technical assistance and information for the implementation of BMPs are provided for various land uses in cooperation with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

Our commitment to the environment in which we recreate

Ragged Mountain Resort is committed to preserving and enhancing the natural resources that are at the core of what makes Ragged Mountain such a special place. We have a long history of being good stewards of the land on which we operate, but we wanted to take another step to help improve our environment. In the spring of 2019, Ragged Mountain Resort and the other ski areas in the Pacific Group Resorts family created a company-wide Sustainability Program to foster environmentally sustainable business practices.
