CONWAY, NH (December 18, 2019)—Tuesday’s snowstorm blanketed New Hampshire’s ski areas in up to 6 inches of fresh snow. In addition to the storm, the recent cold temperatures have allowed ski area operators to recharge their ski areas through continued snowmaking efforts which have added substantial depth to open ski trails and further expanded open terrain. With December’s school vacation week just on the horizon, ski areas are hopeful for continued snow and great ski conditions as a result. Special events fill the calendars at the ski areas for the upcoming holiday break, and accompanying ski and stay packages encourage travelers to enjoy more time in New Hampshire.

“Storms like this one help to create excitement among the skiing community and encourage visitors and locals alike to take time to get out and ski as well as take advantage of additional ski area offerings like snow tubing, zip lining, and a variety of après-ski entertainment that the resorts put on,” says Shannon Dunfey-Ball, Ski New Hampshire’s marketing and communications manager.
