Guided Rock Climbing
Join our experienced guides for the awe-inspiring West Wall guided rock climbing adventure at the Bretton Woods Adventure Center. This rock climbing experience is designed for people with a wide range of climbing abilities and previous climbing experience is not required. This three-hour guided rock climb is tailored to each group based on individual abilities and goals. One guide will accompany up to three guests and work with each group to choose the most appropriate route. Guests will be belayed on all technical climbing sections. Fixed ropes may be used as aid if needed.

Hiking at Bretton Woods
West Mountain Hiking Trail
Follow small rock cairns across the rock ledges to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Zealand Valley and Pemigewasset Wilderness. Views to the right are of Vermont and ski trails on Mount Mansfield. Easy to moderate hike starting to the right of the gondola summit. Follow the hiking trail markers and snowshoe signs. Near the summit of West Mountain the trail levels off and heads left.
- Length: 1.6 miles out and back
- Elevation gain: 510 feet
Two Miles Home Hiking Trail:
Follow the Two Miles Home ski trail and hiking sign markers. The trail winds around the outer boundary of the ski area from the base of the gondola to/from the summit.
- Length- 2 miles one-way
- Elevation gain- 1300 feet

Hiking
Gunstock Mountain Resort sits directly in the middle of the Belknap Range and has unparalleled views of Lake Winnipesaukee, Mount Washington, Ossipee and Presidential ranges. There is a wonderful trail network maintained by Belknap Range Trail Tenders with direct access to the entirety of the Belknap Range.
Climb directly to the summit in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes using the Brook Trail. For a longer trek, try the Mount Rowe Ridge Trail and summit Mount Rowe and Gunstock in just over 2 hours.
Wetlands Boardwalk: In partnership with the Belknap County Conservation District, Gunstock is home to the 1/4 mile handicapped accessible boardwalk. The walk through the wetlands is self-guided with information points and benches for resting along the way.
All of Gunstock's Cross Country Trails are also available for hiking and biking.
