Celebrate International Women's Day on the Slopes!
Happy International Women’s Day from Ski New Hampshire
There’s something special about being a part of a group of women gathering at the base of a mountain. It’s supportive, it’s energizing. With International Women’s Day coming up on March 8th, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the women who ski, ride, lead, teach, and have fun in the mountains of New Hampshire. We're spotlighting some events you don't want to miss along with opportunities to learn with other women, and more.

Learning Together

Each year, NH ski areas launch learn-to programs just for women. At Pats Peak, WOW (Women Only Wednesdays) brings women together for weekly sessions designed by women, for women. Gunstock Mountain Resort’s women’s programs blend skill development with camaraderie, creating a supportive space to grow on the mountain. McIntyre’s annual Women of Winter offers approachable weekly instruction for all ability levels, while Great Glen Trails hosts immersive experiences like Women’s Winter Escape. These clinics and series aren’t just about technique (though you’ll definitely improve that too), they’re about connection, meeting new people, and discovering all that you’re capable of on the slopes. Though many of these program dates have passed this year, it’s something to keep in mind as you plan for next year’s ski season! Explore women’s programs statewide on skinh.com/learn/women.
Honoring the Women Behind the Scenes
All over the Granite State, women are leading lift operations, teaching lessons, running ski schools, managing mountain operations, coaching teams, and so much more. International Women’s Day is a chance to recognize their impact, and to continue building spaces where more women feel welcome outdoors. If you have been thinking about a career in the ski industry, this is your chance. Check out ski area careers on skinh.com/careers.
