Raise a Stein: 6 Ski Area Events to Celebrate Fall

Fall is officially in full swing here in the Granite State. Along with colorful foliage and cooler days comes a calendar full of events for beer-lovers. These events are the perfect chance to raise a stein and celebrate what just might be the second-best season in New Hampshire. Ski areas across the state are hosting Bavarian-style festivals with live music, great food, and games for everyone to enjoy!

Here are six Oktoberfest-style events where you can raise a glass (responsibly!) and soak in the best of the season:

Attitash Mountain Resort – Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest returns to the base of Attitash Mountain from 11 AM - 5 PM with live music, Bavarian food and drinks, stein-hoisting contests, and of course, stunning fall mountain views.

Tenney Mountain – 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Celebration

Tenney Mountain is keeping the fall fun going with its 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Brewfest. From 12 - 4 PM, enjoy craft brews, hearty German fare, live music, and games for all ages at the Base Lodge.

Waterville Valley – Schwendi Hutte Fest

Celebrate autumn in the heart of the White Mountains at Waterville Valley’s Schwendi Fest from 12–5 PM. Ride the lift for foliage views, enjoy live music, and dig into an à la carte Schwendi Hutte BBQ (yes, including brats with sauerkraut).

Loon Mountain – White Mountain Oktoberfest

Loon Mountain’s White Mountain Oktoberfest runs all weekend at the Governor Adams Lodge base area at Loon Mountain Resort. Expect three days of free fall games, music, a stein hoist, keg relay & more (some for 21+ only). Plus beer gardens, gondola skyrides for foliage views, and fun for all ages.

Whaleback Mountain – Oktoberfest

Get ready for fun for the whole family at Whaleback Mountain’s Oktoberfest! Enjoy local craft beer, hearty seasonal food, lawn games, and live music, all surrounded by stunning fall foliage. Kids can join in on festive activities while adults take on classic Bavarian contests—making this the perfect way to celebrate autumn together.

Pats Peak – Oktoberfest (+ Ski/Snowboard Swap!)

Get a head start on ski season at Pats Peak’s Oktoberfest + Ski & Snowboard Sale from 11 AM - 5 PM. Drop by for great deals on new and used gear, savor German food, enjoy lively music and contests (such as the Stein-Holding Contest), and soak in the festive atmosphere.
