Snow Sculpting Competition

The 19th New Hampshire Sanctioned & Jackson Invitational Snow Sculpting Competition will be at Black Mountain Ski area where you can partake in skiing and riding as well as perusing the beautiful snow sculptures. This is a Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce event sponsored by Black Mountain & Nordic Village.

Great Glen Trails

Ski With a Naturalist

In conjunction with the Appalachian Mountain Club, Great Glen Trails offers you the chance to really get to know Pinkham Notch, with a FREE tour (trail pass is required). When you ski with a naturalist, you will learn about the flora and fauna that make our corner of the world so special.

You'll scout for tracks in the snow and learn about the different trees in the Glen. While listening for distinct bird calls, you'll truly begin to understand how the ecosystem works in Pinkham Notch. Tours are FREE with a trail pass.

Just because the sun goes down at 4:00pm doesn’t mean your day has to end. Come on up and listen to some après ski entertainment and try a new brew at Slopeside Pub located on the 3rd level of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge.
Entertainment and promos will be from 3:00pm-5:30pm.

Kids’ Après Ski Parties

15:00 to 17:30
Kids ages 4-12 are welcome to join in this special après ski fun! This supervised program will take place from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm upstairs in the Mount Washington View Room, located on the Heaven Level of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Special après are scheduled on most Saturday’s and during vacation and holiday periods. Each party will include themed activities and refreshments for kids. Parents are welcome to leave their kids at this supervised program and enjoy entertainment at the Slopeside Lounge. Reservations are not required for this complimentary program. More Info

King Pine at Purity Spring Resort

Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides

Enjoy the classic experience of riding among surrounding fields and within wooded trails in a horse-driven sleigh. A unique winter fun outing for families and friends of all ages. In addition to the approximate 15-20 minute ride in the sleigh, we invite you to warm yourself by an outdoor fire before and after your ride and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. When: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Every Saturday starting December 29, 2018 through February 23, 2019 | Additional dates include: Sunday, January 20, Tuesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 21, 2019. Cost: $25 Age 13+ | $15 Age 12 and under - Space is limited and reservations are recommended to reserve available seats, please call 800-373-3754 to make your reservation. Where: Parking and rides begin and end at an outdoor location approximately one mile south of King PIne / half-mile south Purity Spring Resort on Route 153. Snowshoe Tours

Join one of our experienced guides and take in the tall pines and soft woodland sounds with views of King Pine Ski Area in the distance as you experience the serene trails and NH Audubon Hoyt Wildlife Sanctuary at Purity Spring Resort and along Purity Lake. As the winter moon rises, experience one of our guided moonlight snowshoe tours. Saturday Snowshoe Tours 2 p.m. - From Saturday, December 29 to Saturday, March 23, guided snowshoe tours are available on Saturdays at 2 p.m. and are $12 per person (rental equipment not included). Interested participants are asked to sign-up and meet at The Mill Main Office (also Pool & Fitness) at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour. If rental equipment is needed, there is an additional cost and please allow yourself enough time go to our rental shop located in the King Pine base lodge well prior to the time you need to meet at The Mill before the start of the tour. Space is limited and reservations are recommended, please call our main office at 603-367-8896 to reserve your spot. The King's Broad Arrow identified the biggest and tallest of the King's Pines - and our Big Air series takes that tradition of excellence to new heights under the lights in a three event series off the East Open Slope jump.
