Loon Mountain Resort


Load the gondola and ride to the top of Loon Peak for an Easter sunrise service. Loon Mountain Ministry hosts a non-denominational service complete with stunning views, refreshments at the Summit Café and first tracks down the mountain. Kids can follow up their sunrise service with a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed egg hunt. Candy-filled eggs will be hidden at a few different locations around the resort for kids to get their mitts on.

All activities are free to participants.


Gondola Loading: 5:15–5:45 am*

Service: 6:20–7:00 am

Refreshments: 7:00–7:30 am

Gondola Downloading: 7:00–7:45 am

First Tracks: 7:30 am

*Arrival prior to 5:45 am does not guarantee a lift access to the Sunrise Service. This is a first come, first serve event and the last gondola cabin loads at 5:45 am. In the event of bad weather, the service will take place in the Octagon Lodge.

Mountain Top Mass

Each Saturday of the 2017-2018 ski season, starting on December 23rd, you can join Reverend Jay McLeod of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church from 3:15 to 3:45 pm in the Summit Lodge for skiers' communion. All are welcome! If you attend, you must ski down the mountain, no hiking, walking, or taking the chairlift down.

B.Y.O.D.C. Pond Skim


End the season with a splash by entering the annual BYODC Pond skim. This competition is open to all ages brave enough to attempt to cross the pond. We are capping the number of entries at 100 so make sure you sign up early. Prizes will be awarded to Best Cross, Best Splash, and Best Costume. Shark Martin will be playing on the Landing Zone Patio from 2 to 4 as well!

Corona/Pacifico Last Run Luau, Pond Skimming & Beach Party

Bid Aloha to the ski season with a splash! Pond skimming returns to Waterville Valley Resort on April 7, 2018 during the 7th Annual Last Run Luau! The party includes live music!

Pond skimming registration will be open to the first 75 brave hearted competitors and is free with a valid 4/7/2018 lift ticket or valid season pass. Registration will be held from 8-10am in the Base Lodge with skimming starting at approximately 12:15pm, at the base of Exhibition. Come early, sign up, and take a few slushy runs before heading over to the "pond!" Spectators, otherwise known as “Beach Bums” are welcome to take part in cheering on competitors as they splash their way across the pond. After the ponds skimming there will be an après and awards party on the Buckets deck starting at 2:30pm, prizes will be given out for Longest Run for skiers and riders (21+ and 20 and under divisions), Beach Bum Favorite and Best Wipe Out! Get creative and dress up for a chance to win the Best Costume prize. The après will include giveaways and beer specials from Corona and Pacifico!

It's been a long winter, so help us celebrate spring in style with the Slushpool Party and Wet Tug-O-War.

Slushpool Party
A spring tradition here at Loon, the Slushpool Party is a magical event in which skiers and riders try (and most often fail) to skim across a pond of ice-cold water.  SPY Optic will be handing out prizes for Best Tidal Wave and Wildest Costume! Sponsored by: Under Armour, BMW, Coca-Cola

REGISTRATION: 9:30am-11:30am @ Paul Bunyan Room (ages 12+ | limited to 75 participants)
EVENT START: 12:30pm
AWARDS: 1:45pm


If you're not crazy enough to enter the either event, you'll love watching it. Since the pool is conveniently located at the base of Seven Brothers trail mere feet from the Octagon Lodge, you'll have a ringside seat to all the mayhem.

Anytime you roll into one of the award-winning terrain parks here at Loon, you are sure to find a plethora of unique features and creative setups that you've only dreamt about. Sunday, April 16 will be the final day of the winter season and will not be an exception to that commitment. We're going to have one final jam session of the season. Loon Every-Last-Day is a thank you to all park fans.

No judges. No entry fees. No divisions. No pressure. Just a celebration of winter in the parks. Be a part of the Last Day, like you have every other day. There will be some surprises too.
