LIFT Days

This year, Ski NH is expanding its lift mechanic training beyond its low-voltage electrical safety seminar to include mechanical and hydraulics instruction. Renamed Lift Industry-Focused Training (LIFT) Days, sessions are held over time rather than in a two-day block, allowing for more entry-level and advanced hands-on training while supporting staff development across NH ski areas.

This spring, Ski NH held two LIFT Days:

LIFT Day #3: Tower Assembly Rebuild Program
Sept. 10 at Gunstock Mountain Resort

Any level mechanic will benefit from this training. This hands-on training will include work performed from Levels 1-3 focused on safe rigging, lowering, rebuilding, and reinstallation of ski lift tower sheave assemblies. This class is real-world shop and tower work—not a classroom lecture. Our team will demonstrate on-the-hill proper rigging practices, load control, use of a Hitrac hoist for lifting and lowering operations, component inspection, rebuild techniques, and reinstalling and aligning tower assemblies.

The program is just $25, and includes a box lunch.
