Low Voltage + Snowmakers Seminars
The Ski NH Low Voltage Seminars were created to offer hands-on learning opportunities at ski areas across the state, helping lift mechanics and snowmakers expand their skills while building connections, camaraderie, and a culture of knowledge-sharing.
Coming in 2026!
Snowmakers Seminar, April 30-May 1, 2026, at Gunstock Mountain Resort
This spring, the Snowmakers Seminar will have its own separate program that will include two full days of hands-on training, networking, and fun activities (including a snowmakers relay). Educational sessions will include: Intro to Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety & Print Reading, Snowgun Safety, On-The-Hill Tour of Gunstock's Snowmaking System, Pumphouse Controls and Communications 101 & 201, Compressor Controls 101 & 201, and Snowmax Math. Lodging options will also include group camping options on-site at Gunstock's Campground. All participants will receive a certificate of completion. The program is being finalized, and a link for registration will be available in early January. Questions? Email Melody@SkiNH.com.
2026 Low Voltage Lift Mechanic Seminar Series*
This year, the seminar steering committee is exploring a new approach to provide more focused sessions over a period of time, instead of in a specific two-day block. This will allow Ski NH to offer more entry-level sessions as well as advanced hands-on lift mechanic education, while providing staff development opportunities at a variety of NH ski areas. To date, upcoming events include the following:
May 13, 2026 - Ski Lift Electrical Theory & Safety at Waterville Valley Resort
This one-day program will offer sessions for new and Level 1 + 2 mechanics to include an introduction to Ski Lift Electrical, Battery Maintenance & Electrical Shock Safety, along with some basic troubleshooting at a couple of common lifts.
June 2-3, 2026 - More advanced hands-on sessions for Level 2 + 3 mechanics at Bretton Woods
These advanced sessions will be offered at the annual conference and include troubleshooting at lifts. A detailed schedule is still being developed, but interested parties should bookmark these dates.
*Ski NH is also planning to offer some PLC training and Hydraulics training on other dates in 2026. More information and registration information will be coming in the new year. Save the dates and bookmark our seminars page for more information.
