Methodology returns to Gunstock on Saturday, January 31. Methodology is a snowboard-only event open to riders of all ages. The speed competition with an added freestyle element is scheduled to start with practice runs at 9:15 a.m. on Gunstock’s Smith trail. Riders will be timed as they navigate a bank slalom course before performing their best Method Air Grab. Time will be deducted from each participant’s course time based on their Method execution. Winners in eight categories will claim sponsor prizes. A raffle, open to all, will take place during the awards presentation in Gunstock’s Historic Lodge following the competition. All snowboarders are welcome, and two runs are allowed per entry. Proceeds benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit foundation founded in 1996. Their mission is to prepare young people with education on early detection, promote the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention, and provide survivor support for those affected by breast cancer.

Registration is limited and a Gunstock lift ticket or season pass is required to participate. The registration fee is $26.05. Gunstock has partnered with Effective Edge, a nationally known terrain park design company, to deliver this competition to the New England snowboarding community.
