HEADLINES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS

FOR 2026–2027 SEASON

Henniker, NH, August 27, 2026 – PATS PEAK is making one of the largest capital investments in its history ahead of the 2026–2027 ski season, highlighted by a transformational expansion of its snowmaking system that will allow the mountain to open more terrain faster and deliver more consistent snow conditions throughout the winter.

The centerpiece of the project is a new 21-million-gallon snowmaking reservoir, part of a long-term master plan nearly two decades in the making. Combined with major upgrades to pumping capacity, electrical infrastructure, and snowmaking operations, the investment positions PATS PEAK to continue leading the region in early-season openings and dependable skiing and riding conditions.

The project represents the latest phase of nearly $10 million in capital improvements made over the past five-plus years, following the expansion of the base lodge, construction of a new Mountain Operations Building, and installation of the Hurricane Quad.

These improvements allow us to open terrain faster, recover more quickly from changing weather conditions, operate more efficiently, and continue delivering the reliable snow conditions our guests have come to expect."

Historic Snowmaking Expansion

The snowmaking improvements include:

• A new 21-million-gallon snowmaking reservoir dedicated exclusively to snowmaking operations.
• An additional 3,000 gallons per minute of pumping capacity, increasing the mountain's total pumping capacity to nearly 8,000 gallons per minute.
• Tripled electrical capacity to the summit, allowing significantly more fan guns to operate simultaneously while improving energy efficiency.
• More than 200 snowguns operating at one time, doubling current capacity.

Together, these upgrades will cut approximately 50 percent from the time it takes to bring the mountain to full operation. Already recognized as one of the first ski areas in the region to reach 100 percent terrain open each season, PATS PEAK will further strengthen that reputation while achieving one of the highest snowmaking pumping capacities per acre in New England.

Additional Mountain Improvements

In addition to the snowmaking expansion, several other projects will enhance the guest experience for the upcoming season.

The Bluster Carpet Lift is receiving a complete overhaul, including a new carpet belt and redesigned drive system. The improvements will increase uphill capacity by nearly 30 percent while providing greater reliability during winter weather.

The mountain's grooming fleet has also grown with the addition of a new Prinoth Bison snowcat, helping maintain the exceptional snow surfaces PATS PEAK is known for throughout the season.

Guests will also notice improvements at the Hurricane Quad unload area, where the unloading zone has been widened and regraded following feedback from the lift's inaugural season. The redesigned area offers additional space for unloading and easier access to the west side trails and Cascade Basin trails.

The Rental Shop will also welcome new skis, snowboards, and boots for the 2026–2027 season, giving guests access to high-quality equipment that enhances both performance and enjoyment on the slopes.

Behind the scenes, PATS PEAK has completed a full renovation of the Snowsports School staff locker room, featuring new lockers, improved lighting, upgraded flooring, climate control, and a new kitchen area. The investment reflects the mountain's commitment to supporting the instructors and staff who play an essential role in the guest experience.
