Snowmaking Upgrades Coming to Wildcat and Attitash

Pinkham’s Grant, NH (July 7, 2026) – Wildcat and Attitash are excited to announce a series of significant snowmaking system upgrades designed to strengthen early-season snow production and improve overall system performance. These enhancements will reduce air constraints during marginal temperature windows, enabling the resorts to maximize snowmaking opportunities, establish key terrain earlier, and expand trail access more quickly as the season gets underway.

“These upgrades will allow us to make stronger, more consistent snow earlier in the season,” said Pat Hogan, Director of Mountain Operations at Attitash and Wildcat. “By modernizing our system and optimizing equipment placement, we’re setting ourselves up for a more dependable start to winter and better snow quality throughout the season.”

Upgrades Planned at Attitash and Wildcat for Summer 2026 Include:

• Installation of a new air transducer to increase efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness within Wildcat’s air system.

• Replacement of key snowmaking pipes at both resorts, improving reliability and system performance.

• Strategic relocation of existing snowguns at both resorts to optimize terrain progression and ensure snowmaking resources are deployed where they deliver the greatest early‑season impact.

• Integration of new‑to‑Wildcat equipment, expanding the resort’s snowmaking abilities and boosting output potential.

• Installing new low-energy snowguns on Saco Trail at Attitash Mountain.

Building on the momentum of Attitash’s top-to-bottom Opening Day terrain debut last season, these investments represent another step forward in enhancing the winter experience across both mountains. By prioritizing snowmaking on Wildcat’s iconic Lynx Trail and expanding snowmaking capabilities at Attitash, the resorts are better positioned to deliver earlier openings, more consistent conditions, and memorable experiences for skiers and riders all season long.
