Conway, NH - Ski New Hampshire, the statewide association for alpine and cross-country ski areas, is helping visitors and New Hampshire locals make the most of winter without breaking the bank. From ski swaps to discounted lift tickets and special programs for kids, there are plenty of ways to save this season.

The Ski New Hampshire 4th & 5th Grade Passport Program gives 4th and 5th graders from all over the opportunity to explore all 30+ Ski NH member ski areas. For just $59, participants will receive one lift ticket voucher to each ski area, opening the door for a winter full of fun. Program details are listed at SkiNH.com/passport.

Through the Ski New Hampshire online ticket store, skiers and riders can purchase Ski New Hampshire Discounted Lift Tickets to participating New Hampshire ski areas. These tickets can be used on any day of the season and are fully transferable. Tickets will go on sale in mid-October, but quantities are limited and tend to sell out quickly. Those interested in being alerted when these discounted tickets go online are advised to bookmark the ticket page or sign up for email alerts at SkiNH.com/ski-nh-lift-tickets.

Ski swaps are being held across the state, giving skiers and riders an affordable option to purchase gently used or new gear. If visitors have gear that still has some miles left on it, they can drop off their gear to sell. Not only do these swaps keep costs low, but they also give gear a second life, keeping it out of landfills.

The Waterville Valley Black and Blue Trail Smashers Ski Team (WVBBTS) will be hosting their Ski and Snowboard Swap on October 11–12 in the Waterville Valley Town Square. Items in good condition can be dropped off on Friday from 3–6 p.m. or Saturday between 8–9 a.m. Proceeds benefit the WVBBTS.

The following weekend, October 31–November 1, the Gunstock Ski Sale takes place at Gunstock Mountain Resort’s Main Lodge. One of the largest events of its kind in New England, the sale features new and used equipment, clothing, and accessories, with ski shop representatives on hand to provide expert advice.

On Sunday, November 2, the Pats Peak Ski Team’s 52nd Annual Ski & Snowboard Sale will be held during the mountain’s Oktoberfest celebration. Guests can shop for deals on skis, boots, snowboards, clothing, and other outdoor gear.

The next weekend, November 7–8, the 55th Annual Eastern Slope Ski Club Sale will take place at the North Conway Community Center. Hours are Friday 2–7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
