Snowmakers Seminar, April 27-28, 2027, at Cranmore Mountain Resort

Ski NH's Snowmakers Seminar program focuses on the electrical and mechanical systems that power modern snowmaking. This year's event will be held April 27-28, 2027, at Cranmore Mountain Resort. What Can I Expect to Learn at the Snowmakers Seminar?

Last year, sessions covered electrical theory, safety, meters, print reading, compressor and pumphouse controls, troubleshooting, snowgun safety and maintenance, math for snowmakers, and more. Participants took a guided on-mountain tour and joined roundtable discussions with fellow snowmakers from across the region. There was built-in fun, too, with a barbecue and a snowmakers relay. In 2027, we plan to offer sessions for beginners as well as advanced tracks for more seasoned snowmakers.

These sessions will be open to ski area staff from NH and elsewhere. Snowmakers from New England and NY attended the 2026 Snowmakers Seminar. As Doug Fichera of Summit Resources (one of the sponsors) put it: "Attendance was strong; topics were good; stoke was high. The industry needs this, and you all delivered. I look forward to next year!"
